Blanket works as an insulator . So there is no contact between the ice and the outside atmosphere .

Wool is a bad conductor of heat.It do not permit heat rays to reach the ice easily.

Ma'am i t will not melt faster because it is not
getting sunlight because of the plastic bag it
is melting slower . The plastic reflects the sunlight so it does not melt faster .If the ice
gets directly sunlight it will melt more faster than putted in a plastics bags

Woollen blankets are bad conductors of heat. They do not let heat rays penetrate through them easily. Therefore ice, when wrapped in a woollen blanket does not melt quickly.

The Blanket is a very bad heat source that's why the Ice is not melting very fast.

A blanket is a poor conductor of heat so the ice will gain heat slower, therefore slowing down the melting process
